Taking the kitchen outside


Summer time is almost upon us and there are some great new things happening outside!

At My Fathers Heart, we have always thought the kitchen is the heart of the home. But as the warmer days approach, why not extend your kitchen into the garden?

During this past year we have certainly been spending more time with loved ones making memories in the garden, where moments and food have been well worth savouring. We have some great ideas for extending your kitchen and thinking about things differently.

What better time to think about an outdoor kitchen experience? I’ve been so inspired by this idea, just having renovated an old stone shed in our garden, I now want to put a small outdoor space next to it, thus creating a little sanctuary, a place to relax and eat.

There are some fabulous appliances now available for outside use, including Wolf BBQs, cooktops, grills and also Sub Zero outside refrigeration. It’s the perfect time to invest in high quality products and surroundings which are built to last.

We are delighted that we partner with Sub Zero Wolf who provide not only superior appliances for the inside but also for the perfect outdoor cooking experience. How about cooking a perfect pizza which is achievable on a Wolf bake stone, placed inside the gas grill or just on the grill direct. Integral rotisseries allow the utmost temperature control to slow roast a leg of lamb and there’s always room for your favourite burgers, sausages and chargrilled steaks.

It’s time to create a beautiful garden/outdoor space for spending time with family and friends. The developments in outdoor technology such as heating and lighting are really exciting now plus the concept of the ‘outdoor kitchen’ there really is no limit to what can now be achieved in terms of luxury, comfort and outdoor cooking convenience.
