Meet Andrew Cartwright our Furniture Maker

Meet Andrew Cartwright our Furniture Maker

As one of the company's most experienced furniture makers, Andrew is responsible for manufacturing projects to the highest standards. He thrives on coming up with savvy solutions to unique challenges.

Andrew has been working in the industry for years, bringing a wealth of knowledge to My Fathers Heart. He's also a traditionalist at heart and is passionate about keeping the art of furniture making alive in a world where quality and craftsmanship are often sacrificed for price and convenience.

Let’s meet Andrew…

Hi Andrew, when did you join the team?

I joined at the start of 2018, in January, as a Furniture Maker. Since then, I’ve been responsible for manufacturing every project to the highest standards.

How would the team describe you?

I’ve been working in this industry for quite some time now, so definitely experienced – and I’d like to think dependable too. They would probably describe me as a problem solver too, as I’m always coming up with new ways of tackling tricky projects.

Why would you recommend My Fathers Heart?

There are plenty of reasons. But to keep it simple, I’d recommend us because we create one-off dream kitchens. Clients can come in and explain their vision, then we’ll make it happen. That’s not something you can get from many places.

What's been your favourite project to date?

It’s got to be a recent bedroom furniture project. We handmade the bed side units and a drawer unit, all freestanding, then handpainted them for the perfect finish.

And where would we find you on your days off?

On my days off I like to see the grandkids and relax. Not sure whether they always go together… Other than that, I’m an avid snooker player, so you can probably find me at a snooker hall around Sheffield with my cue in hand.
