The focus of the evening was a curated tasting journey featuring five exceptional cheeses. The tasting began with a classic French favourite of a rich and comforting Tartiflette. A traditional dish originating from the Haute-Savoie region of the French Alps. Baked to perfection in our state-of-the-art V-ZUG oven, the Tartiflette was definitely a crowd-pleaser. Its combination of soft potatoes, smoky lardons, and melted Reblochon cheese created the perfect introduction to the theme of Alpine indulgence.

Another highlight was the striking Alp Blossom, a Bavarian cheese crafted by Albert Krauss in the Allgäu region. Its colourful rind decorated with edible flowers and herbs not only made for a beautiful presentation but also added a delicate, floral aroma to its smooth, savoury paste. Alongside each cheese, guests enjoyed a thoughtfully selected food accompaniment chosen to enhance and contrast the flavours

No cheese evening would be complete without exceptional wine and the experts at Starmore Boss delivered exactly that. Every pairing was thoughtfully selected to enhance the flavours of each cheese.

What truly brought the evening to life was the engaging way Jon and Sam shared the stories behind each cheese. From the traditions of Haute-Savoie shepherds to the painstaking craftsmanship of Bavarian cheesemakers, the evening became a celebration not just of flavour, but of culture, history, and dedication to quality.
