A Fantastic Afternoon at Our BORA Live Demonstration

Last Thursday we hosted our very first BORA Live Demonstration in our Bents Green showroom — and what a fantastic afternoon it was.

The event ran across two sessions and brought everyone together not only to enjoy some incredible food prepared by the talented Chef Tarrant, but also to learn more about the impressive BORA X Pure Rough. Alongside the culinary experience, we were delighted to welcome Sarah Kerrigan from Whirlow Hall Farm Trust, who joined us to share insights into the wonderful work the charity does.

A Warm Welcome

Guests were welcomed with a glass of fizz sourced from Starmore Boss before enjoying a selection of delicious canapés prepared by Chef Tarrant. The menu featured steamed vegetable gyozas and sour cream with smoked salmon, beautifully presented in a charcoal cone, a perfect start to the afternoon.

Supporting A Wonderful Cause

While guests enjoyed a starter of king prawns served with a vibrant mango chilli salsa, Sarah spoke about the incredible work carried out by Whirlow Hall Farm Trust. The organisation provides educational opportunities and hands-on experiences with farming and nature for children of all ages in the Sheffield area.

The Culinary Highlight

The highlight of the event was Chef Tarrant’s main course, created using a sirloin cut of meat sourced fresh from Whirlow Farm Shop.

The dish featured perfectly cooked sirloin steak served with braised leek, marinated king oyster mushroom, crispy potato and a pepper jus.

The steak was expertly cooked on the BORA Grill Pan, while Chef Tarrant demonstrated how the BORA X Pure system delivers precision cooking and exceptional results.

The main course was paired with a glass of Whirlow Red Wine, which complemented the flavours beautifully.

Ending On A High Note

To round off each session, we held a raffle featuring some fantastic prizes generously donated by BORA, Whirlow Farm, and My Fathers Heart.

The goal of the raffle was to raise funds for the incredible work carried out by Whirlow Hall Farm Trust, and we are delighted to share that together we raised £403.35 for the charity.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us — we couldn’t have done it without you.

We’d also like to extend our thanks to Chef Tarrant, the team at BORA, Sarah Kerrigan, and Whirlow Hall Farm Trust for helping make the event such a success.
