1. About us

This website is operated by My Fathers Heart Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 05028475.

Our registered address is:

My Fathers Heart
276 Ringinglow Road
Bents Green
Sheffield
S11 7PX

You can contact us at [email protected].

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to My Fathers Heart Ltd. “You” and “your” refer to the person using our website or making a booking.

2. When these terms apply

These terms apply when you:

  • use the website at myfathersheart.com;
  • purchase or reserve a place at an event, workshop, demonstration or other experience through the website; or
  • use any other service offered for purchase directly through this website.

Any information shown on an event or product page, including the date, location, price and any event-specific conditions, forms part of these terms.

Bespoke kitchen, bedroom and furniture design, manufacture and installation projects are governed by the quotation, order confirmation and contract terms supplied for that particular project. If those project-specific terms conflict with this document, the project-specific terms will take precedence.

3. Using our website

You may use our website for lawful purposes only.

You must not:

  • use the website fraudulently or unlawfully;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems;
  • introduce viruses or other harmful material;
  • interfere with the website’s proper operation; or
  • copy or commercially exploit its content without our permission.

We take reasonable care to keep the website available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free from errors.

We may update, suspend or withdraw any part of the website when reasonably necessary.

4. Website content

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on our website is accurate when published. However, photographs, colours, dimensions and descriptions may be illustrative and may not reproduce the exact appearance of a finished bespoke product.

Website content is provided for general information and inspiration. It should not be relied upon as a substitute for project-specific design, technical or professional advice.

We may correct mistakes or update information without notice.

5. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, all content on this website belongs to My Fathers Heart Ltd or is used with the permission of its owner. This includes text, photographs, videos, graphics, logos, designs and the website’s layout.

You may view and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use. You must not reproduce, modify, distribute, publish or commercially use our content without our prior written permission.

6. Third-party websites

Our website may contain links to websites operated by other organisations.

These links are provided for convenience and do not mean that we endorse or control those websites. We are not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices.

7. Event information and availability

Event details will be displayed on the relevant booking page. These may include:

  • the date and time;
  • the venue;
  • what is included;
  • the price;
  • any age restrictions;
  • accessibility information;
  • food or allergen information; and
  • any event-specific booking or cancellation conditions.

Places are subject to availability. Adding an event to your basket does not reserve a place.

We may limit the number of places that one person can purchase where reasonably necessary.

8. Making a booking

By submitting an order, you are offering to purchase the selected event place or service on these terms.

Please check your order and contact details carefully before paying.

Your booking is accepted when:

  1. your payment has been successfully processed; and
  2. we send you an order or booking confirmation.

The contract between you and us is formed at that point.

If we cannot accept your booking, we will tell you and refund any payment you have made.

You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking. If you book on behalf of another person, you are responsible for ensuring that they are aware of and comply with these terms.

9. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include any VAT that is applicable.

The total amount payable will be displayed before you submit your order. Any unavoidable additional charge will also be shown before payment.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered during checkout.

We do not directly store your complete debit or credit card details. Payments are processed by the payment provider shown during checkout and are also subject to that provider’s terms and privacy information.

10. Booking confirmation

We will send your confirmation to the email address supplied during checkout.

You are responsible for providing an accurate email address and checking your spam or junk folder if the confirmation does not arrive.

Please contact us promptly if any details in your confirmation are incorrect.

Your confirmation email is evidence of your booking. If an event requires a separate ticket, this will be explained in the confirmation.

11. Cancelling an event booking

Bookings for leisure services taking place on a specified date or during a specified period do not normally have the standard 14-day online cancellation right.

However, this does not affect your other statutory consumer rights.

If the event page contains a specific cancellation and refund policy, that policy forms part of your booking.

If no separate policy is displayed and you can no longer attend, please contact us at [email protected] as soon as possible.

Where reasonably possible, we may allow you to:

  • transfer your place to another person;
  • move your booking to another suitable event; or
  • receive an account credit.

Any transfer is subject to availability and any restrictions applicable to the event.

If you request a refund, we will deal with the request fairly. Any amount retained by us will not be more than a reasonable reflection of costs or losses caused by the cancellation, taking account of whether we are able to resell your place.

If we resell your place, we will refund the ticket price, less any reasonable and unavoidable administration or transaction costs we have incurred.

Failure to attend an event without notifying us does not normally entitle you to a refund, although this does not affect any rights you have by law.

Unless agreed otherwise, approved refunds will be made to the original payment method.

12. If we cancel or change an event

Occasionally, we may need to change an event because of circumstances outside our reasonable control or because the event cannot safely or practically proceed.

We may make reasonable changes to matters such as:

  • the running order;
  • timings;
  • speakers or demonstrators;
  • the menu or ingredients; or
  • other minor details.

We will notify you of any significant change using the contact details supplied with your booking.

If we cancel an event, you will be offered either:

  • a transfer to a replacement or alternative event; or
  • a full refund of the amount paid for the cancelled event.

If we move an event to a different date and you cannot attend, you may request a refund instead of accepting the new date.

Unless required by law, we are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other external costs you arrange in connection with an event. We recommend checking the event is proceeding before making non-refundable arrangements.

13. Attending an event

You must follow reasonable instructions given by our staff and the venue, including instructions relating to health and safety.

We may refuse admission or require somebody to leave if they:

  • behave in an abusive, threatening or disruptive way;
  • put themselves or another person at risk;
  • damage property;
  • appear unfit to participate safely; or
  • seriously or repeatedly fail to follow reasonable instructions.

A person refused admission or removed for these reasons will not normally receive a refund.

Any age restriction or supervision requirement will be stated on the event page. People under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless we have expressly stated otherwise.

14. Food allergies and dietary requirements

Some events may involve food preparation, demonstrations, tastings or shared kitchen environments.

You must tell us about relevant allergies or dietary requirements when booking or as early as reasonably possible before the event.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requirements we have agreed with you, but we cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free environment. Ingredients and equipment may be stored, prepared or used in areas where allergens are present.

If you have a severe allergy, please contact us before booking so that we can discuss whether the event is suitable for you.

Nothing in this section excludes our responsibility to take reasonable care or comply with applicable food safety law.

15. Accessibility

We want our events to be as accessible as reasonably possible.

If you have an accessibility requirement, please contact us before booking or as early as possible before the event. We will discuss the available arrangements with you and make reasonable adjustments where we can.

16. Photography and filming

We may occasionally take photographs or video recordings at an event for marketing, editorial or social media purposes.

Where photography or filming is planned, we will provide appropriate notice. If you do not wish to appear in identifiable photographs or recordings, please tell a member of staff.

Where reasonably practical, we will respect requests not to be photographed or filmed.

Any personal information collected through photography or filming will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

17. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for losses that:

  • were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed;
  • result from information or instructions supplied by you;
  • arise because you fail to follow reasonable instructions; or
  • relate to a business, commercial activity or loss of business opportunity.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
  • your statutory consumer rights.

18. Events outside our reasonable control

We will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, fire, flood, transport disruption, utility failure, government restrictions, illness affecting essential personnel or venue closure.

We will contact affected customers as soon as reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to minimise the impact.

If an event cannot be provided, the cancellation and rescheduling options in section 12 will apply.

19. Privacy and cookies

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Information about the cookies and similar technologies used by our website is available in our Cookie Policy.

20. Complaints

If you have a complaint about the website, a booking or an event, please contact us so that we have an opportunity to resolve it.

Please include your name, order number where applicable, and a clear description of the issue.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our services, booking arrangements or the law.

The terms in force when you make a booking will apply to that booking. The date of the latest version will appear at the top of this page.

22. If part of these terms is invalid

If a court or other relevant authority decides that any part of these terms is unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining sections will continue to apply.

23. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

You may bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which you live.

Nothing in these terms removes any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you.
