A traditional kitchen with a contemporary twist
The clients, a family of four who liked to entertain, were wanting to transform an old bungalow in Dronfield into their dream home. When presented with the project, we were briefed that the kitchen needed to be functional to fit with their family’s needs, but also doubled as a space perfect for hosting.
The customers loved a traditional style, but with a contemporary twist and wanted to keep it light and open to create an inviting atmosphere.

Design features
The curved bench seat situated on the peninsula is the ideal spot for the family to have breakfast whilst looking out onto the incredible view.
The overmantel, the focal point of the kitchen. The curve of the stained oak and mirror behind the shelf softens the design and creates an interest.
The bar is the first thing you see as you walk into the room, so it had to be breath-taking. Using the same radius as the bench seat and mirror behind the hob, we created a unique statement piece that is both beautiful when it is closed and when it is open.
