Rivelin Valley retreat
A handmade kitchen project in Stannington, Sheffield
The once dark and uninviting space has undergone a complete transformation into a bright, welcoming environment—now the perfect hub for socialising and everyday living. Thoughtfully designed with functionality and comfort in mind, the kitchen is arranged into three distinct zones to suit every part of daily life.
The cleaning area is discreetly tucked away from the main social space, maintaining the kitchen’s calm and uncluttered feel. The breakfast zone features a beautifully appointed coffee station and a cosy built-in bench, inviting you to enjoy peaceful mornings overlooking the surrounding landscape. At the heart of the kitchen lies the cooking area, where the BORA hob takes pride of place on the island opposite the breakfast bar—perfectly positioned to capture breathtaking views of the Rivelin Valley beyond.

The breakfast cabinet is a sleek, space-efficient feature designed for effortless coffee prep and breakfast storage. Positioned beside the curved bench seat, it boasts walnut-lined interiors, Armac Martin grilles, and thoughtfully crafted drawers—all discreetly concealed when closed.

The open niche on the island offers a stylish spot for cookbooks while also serving as a decorative feature—perfectly positioned to face the dining and living area.

The walnut breakfast bar, designed in an L-shape for a more sociable setting, sits beside large patio doors—creating an idyllic spot to relax with family and friends.

The curved bespoke seating offers a comfortable and sociable dining area, seamlessly wrapping around the table to create a relaxed and inviting space.
