Founded in Sheffield in 1995, My Fathers Heart has grown from a small workshop into an established and comprehensive interiors studio.
Today, our bespoke interiors portfolio ranges from stunning kitchens, bedrooms, home offices and freestanding furniture to whole home refurbishments and a full project-management service should you require it.
Where ideas become carefully crafted interiors
Specialising in luxury kitchens and interiors, each project is designed by our in-house team and shaped around the homes they belong to. This process is guided by a close working relationship with our clients, with every detail thoughtfully considered.
Alongside handmade kitchens and interiors manufactured in our Sheffield workshop, we also design SieMatic kitchens. Made in Germany, SieMatic stands at the forefront of contemporary kitchen design, and its reputation for quality sits naturally alongside our own standards of excellence.

Visit us in Bents Green
Located in Bents Green, our showroom offers a relaxed environment to explore our work. It is a place where ideas can be discussed and projects can begin to take shape. We also host a series of exciting culinary events throughout the year in collaboration with local businesses.
Company timeline
1995
After completing City and Guilds training in furniture making, Jonathan Coulthard establishes My Fathers Heart in a small workshop. The business begins with a focus on skilled cabinetmaking and carefully crafted interiors.
1997
The company moves to a historic joiners’ workshop in Nethergreen, Sheffield. As word spreads, the client list grows to include prestigious homes across the region and beyond.
2013
My Fathers Heart becomes a specialist partner of SieMatic, introducing contemporary German kitchens alongside its bespoke cabinetmaking work.
2015
The architect-designed Broadfield Court showroom opens, bringing together design space and workshop under one roof and marking an important step in the company’s development.
2025
My Fathers Heart moves to a new showroom in Bents Green, with the workshop relocating to Attercliffe. Together, these spaces form a new home for the business as it continues to evolve.
