As one of our Furniture Makers, Mark is all about joining forces and putting heads together to achieve a stunning final product that makes an impact. Creating bespoke furniture often requires several different skillsets, which is why Mark is always eager to team up with his fellow craftsmen and draw on combined expertise.
Above all else, he’s a master craftsman, who knows the value of quality workmanship. He loves working with materials that stand the test of time. In a throwaway age, he’s proud to create beautiful products that last for generations.
I joined in August 2019, so I’m one of the new faces around here – but I already feel like a “part of the furniture” – pardon the pun.
They know that I’m friendly and a team player. I think whatever project we’re working on, however tricky, it’s best to work together and help each other out. That’s definitely the feeling I get off everyone else at my fathers heart, which has made it dead easy settling in.
Our kitchens are handmade to great design with fabulous attention to detail. What’s not to love? They’re a truly great product, and I think that speaks for itself.
As a new member to the team, it has to be the hand-painted kitchen in Hathersage, Derbyshire with granite worktops and a handmade breakfast bar in European Oak. This job is special to me as it was one of the first jobs where I knew the procedure better. So it’s always going to be one of my favourites.
My biggest hobby is cycling. I like to do that a lot in my spare time, as well as walking the dogs with my wife. If I get chance, it’s always good to get my guitar out too.
