It pays to be a perfectionist in this industry and James definitely qualifies. He's a whizz when it comes to making the magic happen, working hard to bring client visions to life in kitchens, bedrooms and studies across South Yorkshire.
I joined my fathers heart way back in 2007. That’s over a decade, but it’s absolutely flown by.
How long have you got? First and foremost, I’m responsible for installations. I make sure everything is fitted to the highest standards and solve any problems that arise. But I also liaise with clients and other tradespeople to make sure everything’s carried out within the timeframe we’ve agreed.
I’m definitely a perfectionist, and I think they know that. A lot of people say I’m determined too, which goes hand in hand. Other than that, I’d say a problem solver. I can’t let things go unsolved. If there’s a complex project, I’ll be the first to try and tackle it.
It all comes down to innovative design, superior project management and excellent customer service. We’ll always return to older jobs if there are any issues at all. It’s not unheard of for us to be out tweaking kitchens or furniture that’s over ten years old! That’s something you’d struggle to come by anywhere else.
It’s hard to choose out of the hundreds of beautiful kitchens we’ve installed of the years. A particular project of note was an art deco style cinema and foyer we created at the beginning of 2019. I particularly enjoyed building a great understanding of how to work with high end audio/visual equipment to gain the best cinematic experience.
There was also a great deal of true craftsmanship required within the installation and a fair amount of problem solving. The finished project is second to none and I know that the client is delighted.
Now I’ve finally (just about) finished renovating my house, I spend most of my free time down in Anglesey. That’s definitely the case in summer anyway, when it’s the perfect weather for a bit of sailing.
