So it’s essential that each element coheres and flows to exude exactly what a customer wants from that unique, multi-purpose space.
This takes imagination, vision and careful consideration, combined with outstanding talent to bring it all together using fabulous quality materials and top craftsmanship.
We were thrilled to be able to do this recently, to our customers’ delight.
Our customers had described their existing open plan space as feeling cold and disconnected. That wasn’t who they were nor what they wanted their guests to feel. They wanted something much more welcoming that enveloped them with warmth, sophistication and a quiet sense of luxury.
Introducing beautiful light isn’t always via windows. In fact, in this case, we blocked an existing window which offered little natural light. This allowed more wall space for cabinetry whilst full height antique mirror panels help bounce light back into the room.
Further reflecting the light, we introduced opulent antique silver mirror panels to the back of a range of open shelving. Those, in turn, are subtly highlighted with LED lighting. These approaches combine to create a new softness and light with elegance.
In consultation with our customers at every stage, we designed and installed a bespoke SieMatic SLX kitchen. This is where, as SieMatic explains, ‘light becomes tangible’; the precision design of the ergonomic mitred recess channel is delicately highlighted by subtle strip lighting. Its exceptional lighting concept and timeless design elevates extraordinary architecture to an art form and creates a unique mood in the room. To really bring out the quiet luxury exuded throughout, we introduced materials with hints of gold, silver and warm tones, each contributing to a streamlined flow enhanced further by SieMatic’s renowned handleless design.
Exquisite design can also be about taking bold decisions. That often means making structural changes.
Having blocked the window, we also removed the unused gas fireplace and chimney breast in the living area. This allowed the whole area to flow better and made new space for us to create a handmade full-width media wall. It houses the television and provides plenty of additional storage alongside display shelving.
It’s always our delight to work on such personal, bespoke commissions. If you’d like further inspiration, do call us or call in to our showroom for a chat or a browse around our beautiful displays.
